Cadmium Red
Artist Bio
Thirty-four years, eleven broken bones, a crazy red dog and countless hours with utensil in hand have brought forth the work seen on this site. Originally from Plymouth, Massachusetts, I began my interest in art at a very young age spending free time drawing on scraps of paper found around the home. With much support from my family, friends and educators, I attended Columbus College of Art & Design achieving my BFA in 1998. After college I worked at Wearguard, an Aramark company, as a production designer on a staff of 50 artists and digitizers. I soon became a lead designer on the national accounts for Frito Lay, KFC, Harley Davidson, UPS, Wendy's International and part of the McDonald's team.

In 2005, I moved to Indianapolis and began working at SquareOne Design as a graphic designer. While there I worked on promotions and graphics for teams or sponsors including Andretti Autosport, Vance & Hines, Nascar, ChampCar, IRL, Tony Pedregon, Geico Insurance, Mazda, BP and CSK.

In 2008, I joined on with Apparatus. I am a graphic designer focusing on brand identity and web development.

I have been a part of group and solo exhibitions in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Ohio and Indiana.

I'm married, have a dog (mentioned above), a home and a nice little yard.

So why the name Cadmium Red? The second I opened my first tube of oil pigment I was in love. It may have been the bright red, or perhaps the sweet smell. I'm not really sure, but I still have that first tube of Cadmium Red all crinkled and used up.
